Dental Implant Continuing Education- the place to begin

Hands-on course. Become familiar with the implant motor, drills, guides and guide keys. Place an implant on models to get the feel of different bone densities and how it affects drill size, before placing an implant on a live patient on day 2. Practice bone grafting and understand graft material choice, membranes and sutures. Understand bone biology and how it affects the survival of implants you place. Learn implant techniques that will increase your success. See how planning well and using a surgical guide will take the guesswork out and help your surgeries go smoothly. Review case selection, interpret CBCTs, records, restorative plan, implant selection, guide planning and ordering, guide fabrication, surgery planning, surgery set up, provisional planning, and complications.  Our team will provide a patient for you, take the CBCT and an intraoral scan of your patient, then plan and mill your guide. The second day, we will review your plan and your case with course participants and you will place the implant assisted by a partner dentist and with mentors at your side. You are encouraged to buy your own motor, implant guide kit and keys. However, if you choose not to buy your own, they will be provided for you during the course. See the "Products" section of the website for recommendations. If you are not licensed to practice in Oregon, please sign up early so the Oregon Board of Dentistry can clear you for your temporary permit to perform surgery during the course. For all doctors performing surgery, provide proof of malpractice insurance.
